Dr Mark Zonta completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Queensland in 1998.

He obtained his postgraduate fellowship in the speciality of General Surgery (FRACS) in 2007. Mark subsequently completed a further 12 months post-fellowship sub specialisation in Melanoma and Soft Tissue Sarcoma at the European Institute of Oncology in Milan, Italy.

Dr Zonta joined NQMIS in June 2008 in Townsville and he mainly performs basic and advanced skin cancer surgery.  He also has visiting sessions at The Townsville Hospital.
